FRIDAY July 28th

The VIP Platinum experience will begin at 12pm with an exclusive Art & Architecture walk through iconic and breathtaking locations in downtown LA, including a custom curated AR (augmented reality) experience. The walk will end at the the King Pleasure: Basquiat exhibit, where The Lightning Machine, in partnership with the Producers and the Basquiat family, will celebrate the artist’s inspiration with a cocktail party and special access to The Grand Project’s Basquiat show. Then, take a break, hop in a shuttle, and head to the lightning-themed VIP party in Hollywood, with cocktails, food, and powerful performances by Grammy-nominated artists Aloe Blacc and Sekou Andrews, featuring Steve Connell.

SATURDAY July 29th

Beginning in the morning and concluding late night, this is TLM’s power-packed day of programming, complete with panels, performances, pop-ups, and presentations certain to ignite and inspire our lightning makers. Panels begin at The Biltmore at 10am. Lunch break at the lovely Pitchoun next door is included with all VIP Platinum and Gold Passes. Panels, performances and pop ups continue during the afternoon on Saturday at the Biltmore Emerald Ballroom. The day concludes with an extraordinary experience called “The Poetry of Taste”, a dance between spoken word artist Steve Connell and a James Beard - nominated chef, at the stunning Hotel PerLa, once a grand Federal bank. After party for all TLM Gold and VIP Platinum pass holders on the sweeping Penthouse rooftop Savanah.

SUNDAY July 30th

The final day of TLM offers an open morning. Participants can either recover from the packed day before and parties, or venture out on our suggested DTLA art and AR walks. Either way, get ready for the unforgettable closing Experience Sunday night - Sekou’s next-level spoken word concert and the afterparty, both at the renown El Rey theatre. This electric concert will feature live music, dancers, media, and special celebrity guest performances, including Eric Dawkins, Aloe Blacc, and a feature set by celebrity actor and poet Omari Hardwick (STARZ's “Power”). Popcorn and candy served for all badge holders.

How to attend The Lightning Machine:

2. Upon receipt of your acceptance email, click link to pay for the pass level you selected (VIP, GOLD, SILVER)

3. Receive a physical TLM key and bring it to registration for access to the event.

  • VIP PLATINUM PASS - $375

    This pass is for those who want the premiere VIP experience, complete with all access to all 3 days of TLM experiences and all VIP receptions, Friday, Saturday and the closing concert Sunday. This pass Includes VIP gift bags, preferential seating, and special drink and dining access.

  • GOLD ALL ACCESS PASS - $250

    This pass is for those who want all access to 2 days of experiences, Saturday and Sunday. This pass includes all panels, popups, performances, presentations. Includes dinner on Saturday, as well as preferential seating and snacks at the concert . Does not include VIP receptions or benefits.

  • SILVER NIGHT OWL PASS - $100

    This pass is for those who only want to attend the next-level spoken word concert and afterparty Sunday night at the El Rey theatre. The concert will feature the best of Sekou’s spoken word with live music, dancers, multi-media, and surprise celebrity performers, plus featured drinks and fun snacks. This pass also includes access to an AR DTLA walk to be taken at will. .

  • "SPARKY" PASS - APPLY

    This limited pass is for artists, creators or influencers who are contributing to the success of TLM in some way. This gives you access to all non-VIP TLM Experiences at a free or discounted rate, depending on your level of contribution. This is our way of thanking our “Sparkies” who are helping to ignite the success of our event.

  • TLM RENAISSANCE PASS - INVITE ONLY

    This pass is Renaissance specific, and is on an invite only basis from our TLM Title Sponsor, Renaissance. This pass includes “The Poetry of Education & Equity” panel, performances, presentations, and a pass to the epic closing concert on Sunday at the El Rey.
